We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Technician to join our team. In this role, you will support patients in achieving their mental health recovery goals while providing direct care and assistance in a therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients by assisting with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration
• Monitor patient behavior and report any changes to the healthcare team
• Participate in the development and implementation of individualized care plans
• Facilitate therapy groups and assist in recreational activities as directed by clinical staff
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients, adhering to all safety protocols
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with legal and regulatory standards

Required and Preferred Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent; certification in mental health or related field is HIGHLY preferred
• Experience working in a mental health or healthcare setting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to handle crisis situations effectively and with compassion

Preferred:

• Associate’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field
• Experience with behavioral management techniques
• Knowledge of psychiatric disorders and treatment modalities
