Fund Operations & Compliance Manager
Compensation: $90,000–$115,000 (base + bonus), plus profit-sharing, 401(k), and health insurance Are you detail-oriented, organized, and excited about venture capital? Our company is looking for a Fund Operations & Compliance Manager to help us grow and thrive. This role is a key part of our team and supports the day-to-day operations of our funds. You'll work closely with our leadership, comptroller, legal team, and fund administrator — and play a major part in keeping our operations running smoothly while we continue to scale. We’re a mission-driven team, and this role offers insight into everything from fund management to investor relations and deal execution.
What You’ll Be Doing
Fund Operations & Administration
- Help shape how we run things with smart recommendations and process improvements
- Maintain financial models for each fund to support planning and budgeting
- Coordinate with service providers (admin, legal, tax, banks, etc.)
- Lead weekly calls and manage tasks related to equity, capital calls, and fees via Carta
- Support audits and help with annual tax filings (including K-1s)
- Keep our tech tools, document systems, and financial records up to date
- Manage key third-party databases like PitchBook and Crunchbase
- Partner with compliance consultants to ensure we’re meeting all requirements
- Handle general admin tasks like document reconciliation and mail
Investor Relations & Fundraising
- Keep data rooms and investor decks organized and up to date
- Manage LP onboarding and ensure paperwork is complete and accurate
- Communicate with both prospective and current LPs as needed
- Draft and share investor updates and coordinate quarterly briefings and our Annual General Meeting
Reporting & Data Management
- Help prepare quarterly investor reports and reconciliation documents
- Assist with valuation updates and tracking across all entities
- Keep our investor contact lists accurate and current
Deal Management & Execution
- Attend investment committee meetings and help prepare materials
- Manage every step of the deal process — from approvals and legal docs to wires
- Track deal documentation and use tools like Aumni to keep everything organized
- Monitor our deal pipeline, including co-investments and option exercises
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to check every box, but a great fit would bring many of the following:
- 3–5 years of experience in fund operations, venture capital, private equity, or related fields
- Familiar with platforms like Carta, Aumni, PitchBook, and data rooms
- Comfortable with audits, cap tables, investor communications, and fund closings
- Excellent attention to detail and consistency across documents and reports
- Solid understanding of fund compliance, side letters, and diligence support
- Organized and efficient, with strong follow-through
- Professional and comfortable interacting with LPs, legal counsel, and service providers
- Confident using Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and financial systems
- Strong communicator, team player, and ready to contribute to a growing firm
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (finance, business, law, etc.)
