Who You Are
As Area Operations, you will support the District Operations Manager in overseeing operations across up to 30 multifamily communities within an assigned district. You will work closely with frontline teams, dividing your time between recruiting, staffing, training, and supervising a distributed workforce that services assigned communities. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that scheduled day and nighttime waste and recycling collection services are completed with 100% client satisfaction. As new communities are added, you will also support field teams to ensure smooth service launches and operational rollouts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure timely and satisfactory completion of scheduled doorstep waste and recycling collection services within the assigned area.
- Perform collection services as needed to maintain service standards.
- Conduct on-site quality audits to ensure services meet established safety and performance standards.
- Monitor staff check-in/out activity and productivity using proprietary workforce technology tools.
- Recruit, onboard, train, and provide ongoing development for field staff.
- Assist in training new management team members as needed.
- Support semi-monthly payroll processes by maintaining accurate workforce system records.
- Participate in weekly meetings with management, HR, and other stakeholders.
- Partner with district leadership to support new property service launches and operational rollouts.
- Attend community resident events as required.
- Provide on-call operational support to field teams.
- Manage workforce supplies and inventory, including uniforms, equipment, and materials.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with leadership and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience managing a distributed workforce of up to 50 employees working multiple days per week.
- Basic employee relations and people management experience, including hiring and coaching.
- Experience managing multi-site operations.
- Customer service experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent planning, time management, and organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with employees, peers, and customers.
- Self-motivated, resourceful, and able to work independently with limited supervision.
- Collaborative team player who aligns with core organizational values.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or equivalent workforce experience preferred.
