Senior Compliance Manager
Position Overview: This role entails providing leadership support to the Legal, Regulatory Compliance, and Government Affairs departments in overseeing the global regulatory compliance program of the company. Candidates should possess extensive experience as a regulatory compliance leader within a highly regulated sector. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in establishing and maintaining intricate legal and regulatory compliance programs for Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) and retail environments. This includes developing standard operating procedures and leading internal audits. Strong organizational abilities are essential, along with the capacity to collaborate effectively on multiple projects and solve complex problems within tight deadlines using analytical skills. This position is open for either Phoenix, AZ or Las Vegas, NV. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs), internal processes, and compliance training programs.
- Collaborate with operational leaders to ensure adherence to compliant procedures across all facilities.
- Create and manage internal audit procedures for business entities across various jurisdictions.
- Conduct regular internal audits of facility operations and provide comprehensive reports to senior management.
- Ensure accurate tracking of inventory and waste using seed-to-sale software programs (BioTrack, METRC, MJ Freeway).
- Assist in preparing for facility inspections, government regulatory investigations, and external audits.
- Review government audit findings and devise written corrective action plans.
- Aid in implementing remedial actions to address compliance gaps and mitigate future risks.
- Draft official communications and assist in responding to government agencies and regulatory bodies.
- Review and approve packaging and label designs for cultivated and manufactured products.
- Collaborate with operational leads to ensure compliance with record-keeping and security requirements at all facilities.
- Stay updated on changes in cannabis laws, regulations, and industry guidelines across various regions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; Juris Doctorate or similar advanced degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of experience in a highly regulated industry.
- Proficiency in seed-to-sale software programs (METRC, BioTrack, MJ Freeway, etc.).
- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to facilities across the U.S. (50-60% travel required).

- This job may require frequent stationary positioning, communication, and handling of objects weighing up to 10 lb.
