The Claims Operations Lead will provide day-to-day operational oversight for the Claims function while supporting cross-functional strategic initiatives and ad-hoc executive priorities. This role serves as a central coordination point between senior leadership and operational teams, ensuring both core claims execution and parallel workstreams remain aligned, on schedule, and performance-driven. The ideal candidate brings strong operational leadership experience, executive presence, and structured program oversight capabilities. While direct Claims experience is not required, the candidate must demonstrate the ability to quickly understand operational environments, drive accountability, and maintain execution discipline across multiple concurrent priorities. This role is based in the New York office.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee daily operational management of the Claims function, ensuring workflow continuity, SLA adherence, and execution quality.
- Partner directly with senior executives to provide updates, escalate risks, and align operational priorities with strategic objectives.
- Manage parallel workstreams, including ongoing operational delivery and ad-hoc strategic initiatives.
- Establish operational cadence through structured reporting, dashboards, and executive-ready status summaries.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders (Claims, Technology, Finance, Transformation, etc.) to ensure project milestones remain on track.
- Identify operational risks, bottlenecks, or resource constraints and implement mitigation strategies.
- Drive accountability across onshore and offshore teams, ensuring clarity of ownership and measurable outcomes.
- Support process improvement efforts and modernization initiatives through structured project management and change oversight.
- Maintain strong governance practices across operational execution, including documentation standards, decision tracking, and performance monitoring.
- Serve as the central operational liaison between executive leadership and frontline teams.
